2003: *ist:

The *ist film camera was produced at a time when others were launching digital cameras. Although being a good camera with improved AF system, it was never going to reach any status, and was sold in low quantities. Size: 122x84x63,5. Weight: 335 grams. Sn: 5694032.

From the looks of it, at least the front and top, this might as well be a member of the MZ-family.

The LCD back screen, though, was pointing into the digital future.

A very light kit lens, the 28-80.

Thank you! I should have said around 500000. Also remember that sometimes a top plate was broken and had to replace it with a spare one numbered differently.

I think your SN indications for the S1 may be a little off. I just picked up a chrome one with SN 527384.
